- Establishing Victim/Witness Units in Prosecutors’ Offices
- Passing the State Constitutional Amendment for Victims’ Rights
- Passing Legislation to create the Community Protection Act
- Restoring funding for Crime Victim Compensation
- Establishing the Office of Crime Victim Advocacy (OCVA)
- Establishing the Victim Witness Notification Program within the Department of Corrections
- Increasing the sentencing range for 2nd degree murder and 1st and 2nd degree manslaughter
- Passing legislation reaffirming assault as predicate offense for 2nd degree murder
- Establishing the victim representation on the Sentencing Guideline Commission
- Creating the Task Force on Underserved Victims of Crime
- Passing and testifying on the Missing Persons Bill 2806 passed in 2006
- Obtaining for the first time, state funding for victims of crime other than sexual assault or domestic violence
